Clonmel Junction Arts Festival
Clonmel Junction Arts Festival returns from June 27th - July 7th 2024, and continues the festival’s deep dive into local stories and themes. The programme looks back at the legacy of prominent Clonmel artists, including a Fidelio Trio concert with a beautiful programme celebrating the work and inspirations of one of Clonmel’s most famous sons Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin, as well as a retrospective exhibition of the work of photographer John D. Kelly and a look at the fascinating work of Una Troy. The Festival Dome will return to the Civic Plaza with a fantastic rock line-up, and this year STAC Chapel will celebrate dance in many guises including the live premiere of Iseli-Chiodi Co.’s Turnstile, commissioned by Tipperary Museum of Hidden History for the Bloody Sunday centenary, as well as a return visit from Irish Modern Dance Theatre. The exciting new literature strand is growing and features a Crime Night with The Coroner’s Daughter author Andrew Hughes. A ten-day programme offering an exciting creative platform for local artists, inviting national and international excellence to share it.
