Get Ready to Parade and Make a Joyful Noise
Would you like to take part in the St Patrick’s Day Parade? This year, Tipperary Town is holding its parade on Saturday 16 March, to coincide with a visit from 300 members of the Missouri University Marching Band playing their theme tune It’s a Long Way to Tipperary. It promises to be an amazing sound and spectacle. Join us in a Creative Places workshop to get ready to parade on Saturday 9 March, from 2 – 5pm. We will be making magical masks and wonderful wigs to transform your appearance with artist Mags Rudnicka. We will also be making parade banners that celebrate belonging in Tipperary Town with artist Nathalie el Baba. To take part in the parade you need to be available on Saturday 16 March from 10.30am to 12.30pm. Musician Andy Spearpoint will provide gongs, chimes and drums to bang and make a joyful noise. These activities are free and open to people of all ages and interests. All children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
