Back in late 2022 artist/folklorist Michael Fortune began work on a project with staff and participants from Age Friendly Roscrea recording stories, tales and memories in the centre and also in people’s homes. For the Tipperary Bealtaine Programme, Michael and the group have produced this material into a pop-up exhibition featuring images, text and films. These exhibition boards will also contain QR codes so you can scan your phone and be brought directly to YouTube to hear interviews and chats come alive. These boards will be on display for the month of May in Roscrea Library and there will be an official launch of the project in Age Friendly Roscrea in the town on Friday the 5th of May at 1pm where Michael and the participants will present some of their findings and work.
